You're not gonna kill anyone with it on its own and it does entail some risk, since you lose ~300hp overall, but this can be offset with heal-over-time incants pretty easily (which is usually what I do in pve) though obviously the more time doing set up the riskier things can become. Good for finishing off players when they try running away at low health and get caught, and lower-hp enemies that try surrounding you. Serves a similar function to poison or the briar armor but doesn't feel as cheesy (lookin at you gugs poison pokers) opponents have to decide if they want to run away and disengage (also incentivizing more aggression on your behalf, since it only lasts so long and if it runs out, you basically just wasted hp and fp), or take a little bit of damage by getting up close. BUG: As of Patch 1.08, there is an issue where a player can use Fire's Deadly Sin to accumulate Bleed build-up very quickly, from holding a weapon buffed with Bloodflame Blade.The Blessed Dew Talisman, Blessing's Boon/ Blessing of the Erdtree incantation, Icon Shield or Crimsonburst Crystal Tear can also mitigate it. Wearing the Royal Remains Set ensures the caster will never be killed by the DoT this incantation inflicts.
